it is always interesting to see how things work out when put into new situations. imagine bringing 30 or so college kids together from all over the country and telling them to play together because the natives don't speak english.
there are three groups that i hang out with:
- the cool kids
- the dorm kids
- the 'artsy/coffee house' kids
each group has their quirks... and i don't fit well into any one group. i think the groups mostly tolerate me. i am the oldest one in all three groups, i also have a master's degree, i am auditing all of my classes here in france and lets not forget, i am not a student anymore.
none of the three groups interact which each other more than they have too. for example, this weekend i am going to san sebastian. i am going with the cool kids, however, the dorm and artsy kids are also going. each group has made their own reservations and plans... one of which is too not hang out with the other groups while in san sebastian. we will more than likey run into each other while we are there, but we will not do anything together. i find it amusing... kind of like high school all over again.
